RESOURCEFULNESS AS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR SMALL SCALE BUSINESS OPERATION FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
This study was designed to examine the resourceful ability demonstrated by small scale business operators and how small scalebusiness enterprises encourage national development. To guide the study, one research hypothesis and one research were formulated and tested using simple linear regression. The instrument used was a researcher made instrument titled “resourceful small scale business operation appraisal” (RSSBOA). A sample of 316 small scale business operators was used
for this study. The research design adopted was ex-post facto because the variable under study had already occurred and data collected was tested using simple linear regression which was tested at .05 level if significance. Based on the findings, it was recommended that for the purpose of continuity, success and sustainability, small scale business operators should be resourceful as this will enhance their business skills, performance and business growth.
