Abstract

This research was undertaken to find out from managers of registered small and medium enterprises in Anambra State the extent of adoption of operational strategies for management of small and medium enterprises in the state. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 813 respondents. Reliability co-efficient of the instrument was established to be 0.79 using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. Mean and standard deviation were used for data analysis while Z-test was used to test the two null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the study revealed, among others that managers lack the rudiments of managerial strategies and as such do not frequently utilize these strategies. It was concluded and recommended that managers should be updated technologically in order to meet the challenges of globalization for improvement in their managerial task performances.
